WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS.  SEE BELOW.

Do you have a desire to serve your community?  Do you want to become a firefighter?  The Northwood Fire Department is always looking for paid on-call Firefighters and Emergency Medical Techinicians (EMT's).  All the necessary training is provided.

Requirements

Must:

• Be eighteen years of age.
  
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
  
• Be a resident of the City of Northwood.
  
• Pass a background check.
  
• Pass a physical examination.
  
• Pass a physical agility test.
  
• Obtain Ohio Volunteer Firefighter Certification within the first year of employment.
  
• Obtain Ohio Basic Emergency Medical Techinician within second year of employment.
  
• Attend weekly training.

Employment applications may be picked up or dropped off between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm at the City Municipal Building, 6000 Wales Road, Northwood, Ohio.  You may also mail them to the same address.  City of Northwood Application for Employment
